This is the difference between a set of modules and a system. When a quotation is accepted, the invoice is one click away and carries the customer, the lines and the tax position with it. Bill a delivery and the challan knows it has been billed. Bill a purchase order and the order locks, so it can never quietly disagree with the vendor's invoice.

Each hand-off carries the customer, the lines, the place of supply and the tax treatment across. The next document opens where you already are — you never leave one screen to make a record another screen needs.
Nothing is billed twice
A challan that has been invoiced says so and refuses a second attempt. An AMC period can only be raised once. The guard is in the database, not in a screen, so two people working at once cannot both succeed.
Every document knows its parent
A bill records the purchase order it settles, an invoice records the delivery it billed. That link is what locks an order once it has been invoiced — and what lets you answer “where did this come from?” a year later.
